| Georgia Peterson
You may find Georgia in her garden studio, applying gold leaf for a whimsical wooden shrine or in her NW massage studio, applying lotion for a slow deep massage. Georgia's artwork draws from her palette of experience of design, form and color. She combines the whimsy of color, shapes and materials, the richness of shimmering gold, aspects of Japanese and Tibetan cultures - in the attempt to find a balance of the enormity of nature and the awe that it makes us feel.
Originally from Philadelphia, she developed the tools on her work bench over several years in art school, in Philadelphia, Rome and Boston; and in the pacific northwest for 20-some years from working in graphic design, studying Renaissance oil painting with Gage Mace, stone carving in symposium-style learning from sculptors like Kazutaka Uchida from Japan, Michael Naranjo from New Mexico and with a rich and generous community of artists.
