As an Electrical Engineer, David relied on woodworking as a creative outlet far from the world of semiconductors, software, and interesting challenges in the technology world. His woodworking included remodeling several personal residences, filling them with custom cabinets, furniture, and fixtures. At the dawn of the 21st century, David left the world of technology to follow a dream.

Now a professional member of the Oregon Woodworkers Guild, David mixes a love of woodworking with designs that span the spectrum from dramatic to fun and whimsical.

“I have to design things! Non-ordinary things!” That pretty much sums up much of the furniture David has designed and built over the past several years. “My favorite is called ‘Screwed Up.’ It is a hall table which hangs on the wall instead of resting on legs. And when you see it, you can’t help but understand the title and maybe smile a little too.”
