Amy Estrin

Amy Estrin graduated from The Museum Art School (currently called PNCA) in 1982. She showed extensively, but the highlights were her shows at Elizabeth Leach Gallery and Jamison/Thomas Gallery. Amy opened The Whole 9 Yards, an interior fabric store, with her husband Jamie Eoff in 1991. “Since we opened the store, I have thought of it as a great big visual work in progress. There is an endless source of visual information here, lots of color, and design work to keep my painters brain happy till I can get back to canvas, which is happening quite often these days.” Amy has been combining multiple fabrics on one chair, to create “Amy Chairs” since she opened the store in ’91. Treated like 3 dimensional paintings, they are commissioned by customers.

Amy is currently showing paintings at B. Rogers Gallery in N.E. Portland. “Brads new space is very intimate. It is kind of tucked away, but well worth finding.”
